Eke Uche is a lawyer with over 7 years’ experience providing legal advise to local and international corporate organizations in diverse areas, some of which include Corporate & Commercial Law, Real Estate, International Debt Recovery and Regulatory Compliance. His experience spans areas such as mergers & acquisitions, corporate restructuring, acquisition and disposal of assets, negotiation and renegotiation of contracts, advising, drafting and reviewing terms and conditions for technology products, websites and web applications.
Eke’s early years as a lawyer was spent as a legal officer in a real estate/finance company, where among other things he provided legal counsel to families and communities on a sponsor, survey, outright acquisitions and joint venture of landed properties in different parts of Lagos including Ikoyi and the Ibeju-Lekki, Epe and Lekki peninsular Axis of Lagos State.
Part of the team that advised Niger State Government of Nigeria on the development, construction financing and operation on a number of road projects under a PPP scheme and the drafting/reviewing as the case may be of the Concession Agreement, Transaction Implementation Agreement, Joint Issuing House Agreement, Underwriters Agreement, Payment Agency Agreement and Trust Deed.
Conducted due diligence and advised on the acquisition of a microfinance bank and drafting/reviewing as the case may be of all the Sale & Purchase Agreement, Shareholders Agreement and other relevant transfer documents
Advised and assisted several clients on the establishment of Nigerian subsidiaries and procuring relevant pre-investment and operational approvals, licenses and permits.
